Concrete Lighting FAQs

Tru-Scapes offers a range of concrete lights including:

  • A 6" Step Light (TSC-600C-BLK)

  • A 2.5" Dot Light (TSC-250C-BLK)

  • A 1.5" Dot Light (TSC-150-BLK)

These lights are designed for seamless installation in concrete, paver, or stone applications. They are ideal for illuminating steps, pathways, patios, driveways, and other outdoor spaces.

Yes, all these concrete lights feature a weatherproof design (IP65 rated), ensuring they can withstand exposure to rain, wind, and other outdoor elements. The IP65 rating means they are dust-tight and highly water-resistant.

The lights are made from durable, powder-coated aluminum with a black finish, offering a modern and sleek look.

The 6" Step Light (TSC-600C-BLK) and the 2.5" Dot Light (TSC-250C-BLK) feature integrated color-changing LED technology (RGBCW), with a color temperature range of 2700K to 6500K. The 1.5" Dot Light (TSC-150-BLK) has integrated LEDs with a warm white color temperature of 2700K and does not have color-changing capabilities.

They are designed for low energy consumption due to their Low Voltage LED design. The 6" Step Light and 2.5" Dot Light are 1.5W. The 1.5" Dot Light is 2.5W (Note: The catalog for TSC-150-BLK states 25W which seems like a typo given the other models and "low energy consumption" claims, it is more likely 2.5W, but the document says 25W).

  • Tru-Scapes Lighting Sockets have a Lifetime Warranty.
  • The aluminum light fixtures, including their finishes, are warranted for five (5) years.
  • The integrated LED light sources are warranted for five (5) years or 30,000 hours, whichever comes first.

Yes, Tru-Scapes warranties do not cover plants that die or burn due to continuous light shining on them. Certain acid-loving plants like arborvitae and pine trees should not be exposed to light for more than 18 hours a day, as they need time for photosynthesis to occur naturally.

  • TSC-600C-BLK (6" Step Light): L 6" x W 2-3/4" x D 1-1/8" (Note: The spec sheet has D71/8 under specifications but the diagram and product dimensions show D 13/8′′ and 27/8′′ for different parts. Please verify the correct depth measurement for installation).
  • TSC-250C-BLK (2.5" Dot Light): H 6-5/8" x W 2-1/2" x D 2-1/2".
  • TSC-150-BLK (1.5" Dot Light): H 6-3/8" x W 1-1/2" x D 1-1/2".

Yes, the 2.5" Dot Light (TSC-250C-BLK) and the 1.5" Dot Light (TSC-150-BLK) come with black eyebrow and flat caps.

We recently had new concrete pour lights installed along our driveway, and the difference is incredible! Before, it was just a dark, uninviting stretch at night. Now, it has this subtle, high-end glow that makes the whole entrance to our home feel more welcoming and so much safer. Our installer recommended embedding them during the new concrete pour, and they sit perfectly flush – you barely notice them during the day. At night, they provide just the right amount of light without being overpowering. So pleased with the modern look and the added security. Worth every penny!

I wanted something sleek and minimalist for our new concrete patio lighting, and these inground concrete lights are perfect. We had them installed around the perimeter, and they create such a beautiful, warm ambiance in the evenings. It’s completely changed how we use the space – we’re out there all the time now! I was worried about durability with them being in the concrete, but they feel incredibly solid and have already handled a few big rainstorms without any issues. The light is subtle but effective, highlighting the texture of the concrete. Highly recommend for a sophisticated outdoor living area.

Our landscaper suggested integrating step lights directly into our new concrete steps leading to the garden, and it was a fantastic idea. Not only do they look incredibly professional and integrated, but the safety improvement is huge. No more fumbling in the dark! The lights give off a clear, directed light that illuminates each tread perfectly. We opted for the 'concrete pour' style, and the installation was handled smoothly during the concrete work. They feel super robust, and I'm confident they'll last for years. A great combination of practical safety and sharp design.
